Saturday granted us sunshine and gorgeous views as we headed out to Karaka for Race 3 of Super City Team Championships 2025. Thank you to everyone who was able to make it out and help make the race a great one. While we faced a few minor bumps with some of the traffic management or riding over the centre line, the event otherwise ran smoothly.
For Cat 1, 3, and 4, it was neck and neck in the fight for 1st place, riders coming in 1st (Wilson Hannon, Thibaut Debord, Tim Spicer), 2nd (Zane Wyllie, Andrew Reeves, Benny Van Der Griend) and 3rd (Rob Scarlett, Tyler Plant, Michael Hope) mere milliseconds between each other. In Cat 2, Mike Lichtwark took out 1st place with a time of 2:16:30, with Karl Murray narrowly coming in behind him at 2nd with 2:16:32. The sharp competition made it all the more exhilarating!
