Saturday marked our final Super City Champs race of the year, held at Aka Aka! On behalf of the STCC Committee and the SCTC Sub Committee, thank you to everyone who turned up and cycled or helped out at the event or any other race throughout the whole tournament as well as our sponsors at Bennys Bike Shop, PRV and Worralls.
In Cat 1, Kiian Watts won 1st place with a fierce battle between fellow riders, achieving a time of 2:37:06. When it came to Cat 2, Aaron Strong lived up to his name with a strong finish, getting 1st with a 2 second lead at 2:47:12. Riley Hartgill came in at 1st in Cat 3 with a time of 3:00:08. In Cat 4, Jon Makin achieved 1st place in a close fight with a time of 2:03:22. By totalling up the points, the team with the most points in Cat 1 was Pista Corsa (Cat 1) with 85 points. First place in Cat 2 was Nyuvitas RTT Racing with 82 points. Topping the Cat 3 category was I Built Racing with 81 points and Cat 4’s first place was Department of Cycling with 76 points. In Cat 5, it was a tie between Matt Stratton and Chris Bauld for first place with both boasting 30 points each. Congratulations to our winners as well as everyone else who raced hard!
